As the Economy Turns: Deadly Black Friday at Wal-Mart

Door busting hits a fever pitch this year: A frenzied mob of Black Friday shoppers smashed through Wal-Mart's front doors, trampling to death a store employee. Several woman were injured while trying to lend assistance.

I've discussed this with two people and both said the same thing, that the door busters were not even that good. Makes me wonder: If there'd been a flat screen 52-inch for $100, would he have died honorably?

I feel guilty... I thought about the sale before I thought about this poor person, dying in the line of duty at Wal Mart.

Now I'm thinking about the people who did the trampling... Not the guy in the front who knew he was knocking someone to the ground, but the person about 20 back in the line who remembers vaguely tripping on something on the way into the store, but didn't look down. It's goin to take a little rationalization to clear that conscience...

I'm glad I slept in.
